Default Skills Question

Hello i am a R/W

I just unlocked (with faction) a mesmer skill that reduces enemy runs speed by 50%. I went to the skills guy and bought it with money.

However, I dony see it on my list so i can equip it.

Anyone know why??

Because you are a R/W, you need to be x/Me, or Me/x to use a mesmer skill.

You can change your profession later in the game, at Senji's corner, for 500g. If you change it to Mesmer, then you can use your unlocked skill, but you lose access to your Warrior skills.

But you need to be Ascended or Weh No Su to do it there.

@OP: Senji's Corner is the area you travel to after completing Naphui Quarter mission in factions, the 4th mission.

And, doing that mission will make you Weh No Su, so it doesn't really matter.

Points out that Little may not be a Factions char, merely that he's unlocked a skill using balth's faction.

If you are from Prophecies, you may change your profession after completing the profession changing quests in the desert, or finishing Hunted! in NF. You can also change your secondary in the Great Temple of Balth on the Battle Isles.

In addition you also need to buy the skill from a normal skill trainer(if you unlocked either of the burdens skills) or cap it from a boss if it was Crippling Anguish that you unlocked.

There's a warning in red text at the top of the Priest of Balthazar's window that says you don't learn skills unlocked with faction and don't physically receive items unlocked. Remember that next time.

As for changing professions, you need to first complete the [wiki]Augury Rock (Mission)[/wiki] mission which is in the Crystal Desert and "ascend". You then have to do [wiki]The Mesmer's Path[/wiki] in order to be able to change your secondary to Mesmer. Alternatively, you can zone to the Great Temple of Balthazar once you ascend and change it there for a one time 500g fee.
